Rainmail Fax server receives faxes and converts them to a PDF/TIFF file. Once converted, the file is made as an attachment and sent to a designated fax administrator. The administrator determines whom the fax is for (by scanning the contents) and forwards the same by email to the recipient. This means that a user receives fax directly as an Email attachment (PDF/TIFF file). Below is a sample fax received by a user.

In the above email, the received fax is available as fax000000155.pdf (indicated by the red oval) and user can view the fax by clicking on the attachment link and opening it.
